Lent – Day 24 – Bible Study – Healing – Part 1

Jesus did many miracles in the short time of His earthly ministry. The majority are Faith Healing, People were draw near Him for Healing and He taught them the Heavenly Father's will and His plan for their Salvation. He taught them that their soul can be redeemed by His sacrifice, by His Blood once for all. He is the Only Way for our Salvation, anyone who believe in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life in Him in God's Kingdom. I try to make a list of The Miracle Healings perform by our Lord Jesus Christ. Let's study together... (Please note: There're many Miracles and wonders perform by our Lord Jesus. Here are some of His Healing Miracles that Only True God could did and Pharisees knew that! they're knew, Only True Messiah, The Son of God can Heal the leprosy, Heal the born blind and Resurrected dead people but their self-righteousness veil blinded their eyes and they're ignore all the signs.)
• Jesus heals an official's son at Capernaum in Galilee (John 4:43-54) • Jesus drives out an evil spirit from a man in Capernaum (Mark 1:21-27) • Jesus heals Peter's mother-in-law sick with fever (Matthew 8:14-15) • Jesus heals many sick and oppressed at evening (Matthew 8:16-17) • Jesus cleanses a man with leprosy (Matthew 8:1-4) • Jesus heals a centurion's paralyzed servant in Capernaum (Matthew 8:5-13) • Jesus heals a paralytic who was let down from the roof at Peter's home (Matthew 9:1-8)
• Jesus heals many sick in Gennesaret as they touch his garment (Matthew 14:34-36)
• Jesus heals a man's withered hand on the Sabbath (Matthew 12:9-14) • Jesus raises a widow's son from the dead in Nain (Luke 7:11-17) • Jesus casts demons into a herd of pigs ( Matthew 8:28-33) • Jesus heals a woman in the crowd with an issue of blood (Matthew 9:20-22) • Jesus raises Jairus' daughter back to life ( Matthew 9:18, 23-26) • Jesus heals two blind men (Matthew 9:27-31) • Jesus heals a man who was unable to speak ( Matthew 9:32-34) • Jesus heals an invalid at Bethesda (John 5:1-15)
• Jesus restores sight to Bartimaeus in Jericho (Matthew 20:29-34)
• Jesus heals a gentile woman's demon-possessed daughter (Matthew 15:21-28) • Jesus heals a deaf and dumb man (Mark 7:31-37) • Jesus heals a man born blind by spitting in his eyes (John 9:1-12) • Jesus heals a boy with an unclean spirit (Matthew 17:14-20) • Jesus heals a blind, mute demoniac ( Matthew 12:22-23) • Jesus heals a woman who had been crippled for 18 years (Luke 13:10-17) • Jesus heals a man with dropsy on the sabbath ( Luke 14:1-6) • Jesus cleanses ten lepers on the way to Jerusalem ( Luke 17:11-19)
• Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead in Bethany (John 11:1-45)

In John 5:1-16 The lame man lying beside the pool over 38 years or long-waiting for the moving of the water-because an Angel would go down into the pool from time to time and stir up the water (38 years indicates that the man had been infirm since before Jesus was born.). Then the first one who got in after the water was stirred up recovered from whatever sickness he had. There was no one to carry him to the pool, and he wasn’t fast enough to get into the water at the right time. Jesus chose him to heal (John 5:1–11). Jesus asked the man if he wanted to be made well? His answer was steeped in superstition. (Bethesda means “house of mercy”, multitudes gathered there HOPING FOR MIRACULOUS CURE. Note that, there is NOT “was” this may mean that the pool was still in existence at the time that was being written. The John wrote before the destruction of Jerusalem.) This confused and needy man was healed by God’s grace. He had no faith in Jesus; he didn’t even know it was Jesus who had healed him until later (John 5:12–13). John 5:8 “Pick up you mat and walk” is the statement of healing. That He does it is the sign of the healing. What I think is very important and applicable for us is that when Jesus gives a command, He also gives the enablement to carry out the command. On that day there’s two charges are brought against Jesus for healing on the “Sabbath day”. The Pharisees had added many oral traditions to the written law. First, no burden-bearing was allowed. People could not even carry a needle in their clothing, write anything, or put out a lamp. Certainly they could not carry their own beds. Second, no medical practice were permitted on the Sabbath expect to prevent death. Genesis 2:2-3 Teaches that God rested on the seventh day of the creation, Jewish rabbis agreed that God continually upheld the universe, yet without breaking the Sabbath so the Jews’ prohibiting work on Sabbath. Jesus clearly a clam to deity, as His hearses understood My Father suggest closer relationship with God than other people had (See John 20:17) “My Father is working until now, and I Am working.”

John 5:1-16
After this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.
3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.
5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
8 Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked and on the same day was the sabbath.
10 The Jews therefore said unto him that was cured, It is the sabbath day it is not lawful for thee to carry thy bed.
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
13 And he that was healed wist not who it was for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.
14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
15 The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.
16 And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

Psalm 46:2-9
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.  Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved God shall help her, and that right early.
6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.  Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.
9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

Ezekiel 47:1-9, 12
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar.
2 Then brought he me out of the way of the gate northward, and led me about the way without unto the utter gate by the way that looketh eastward; and, behold, there ran out waters on the right side.
3 And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ancles.
4 Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees.  Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins.
5 Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over.
6 And he said unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen this?  Then he brought me, and caused me to return to the brink of the river.
7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.
8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.
9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.
10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from En-gedi even unto En-eglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.
11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.
12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

We all sinned n deserve GOD’s judgment, but our loving FATHER, GOD sent HIS only begotten SON to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in HIM. JESUS, our LORD who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that HE died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buries n rose from the dead according to the Holy Bible. If you truly believe n trust in your heart, receiving JESUS alone as your SAVIOUR, declaring (by Baptism) JESUS is The LORD n SAVIOUR, you will be SAVED from the judgment n spend ETERNITY with GOD in HEAVEN…. In The name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.. Amen
