Hebrews
12:1-3
Wherefore
seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us
lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us
run with patience the race that is set before us,
2
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that
was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at
the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For
consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest
ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

John
13:21-32
When
Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
22
Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
23
Now there was leaning on Jesus' bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
24
Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of
whom he spake.
25 He
then lying on Jesus' breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
26
Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it.
And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27
And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou
doest, do quickly.
28
Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
29
For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto
him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he
should give something to the poor.
30 He
then having received the sop went immediately out and it was night.
31
Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified,
and God is glorified in him.
32 If
God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall
straightway glorify him.

Psalm
70
Make
haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.
2 Let
them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul let them be turned
backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3 Let
them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
4 Let
all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee and let such as love thy
salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
5 But
I am poor and needy make haste unto me, O God thou art my help and my
deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Isaiah
50:4-9a
The
Lord GOD hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to
speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he
wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
5 The
Lord GOD hath opened mine ear, and I was not rebellious, neither turned away
back.
6 I
gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I
hid not my face from shame and spitting.
7 For
the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have
I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.
8 He
is near that justifieth me; who will contend with me? let us stand together: who is mine
adversary? let him come near to me.
9
Behold, the Lord GOD will help me; who is he that shall condemn me?
